How To Care For Your Hair

HAIR CARE TIPS

Brush the hair with a wide tooth comb before each use, starting from the bottom.

Do not apply oil to the hair product daily, this may cause it to lose its natural lustre and “bounciness”. Only apply hair serums/oils after washing.

Make sure to wash the hair with a good quality shampoo and conditioner at least twice a month or more frequently if used regularly.

In order to properly care for and protect our hair products please only use a good quality organic and sulphate free shampoo to avoid stripping the hair of its’ natural nutrients.

Use only lukewarm water for washing. Wash the hair gently in a downward motion with your soft/wide toothed comb/hands. Do not scrub or bunch the hair together as this will cause friction. Do not brush the wet hair, cuticles are most vulnerable.

If you have tape-in or bonded extensions, be cautious not to saturate the bonds directly, as excessive moisture can weaken the adhesive.

After washing, apply a generous amount of conditioner, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.

Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Add few drops of a good quality oil (such as almond, macadamia, coconut or argan oil) after conditioning your extensions.

Applying Oil: 

· After rinsing the conditioner out, apply a small amount of oil to your hands, warm it up, and then gently run your fingers through the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.

· Focus on the tips, where the hair is most likely to be dry.

Avoid applying oil directly to the roots or near the attachment points (for tape-ins, bonded extensions, keratin bonds, etc.) to prevent build-up or slippage.

Air-dry the hair after washing. Do not use direct heat for drying the hair.

De-tangle the hair with your hands first before using a wide toothed comb/brush.

When styling (curling, straightening, blow drying, applying hot irons, wands, etc.) always use a heat protecting spray to protect the hair from being damaged.

LACE CARE TIPS

Frontals and Closures are products that are very delicate and should be handled properly. They are 100% handmade, thus they are more fragile and less resistant than your bundle extensions. Take extreme care during any customisation.

HD laces are more fragile and subject to damage from bleaching, etc. We are not liable for damage caused from improper use and customisation. Do not brush, scratch, pull, over bleach or pick your laces as this could lead to excessive shedding and affect the life span of your lace. The longevity of your lace depends on amount of usage and the quality of care. Ensure your stylist is qualified and understands how to correctly apply any form of treatment (colouring, bleaching, etc) to the hair product without causing much damage.
